Vintage Acme Thunderer Whistle Slag_glass_dish The box is slightly soiledA rare, antique Acme Thunderer sports whistle with chain and hook. The metal whistle is marked on one side, "The Acme Thunderer" and on the other "Patent England". Made of nickel plated brass with a cork pea. First issued in 1884 and patented in 1924; this one has a longer hanging loop that is found on the earlier models. The metal chain measures approximately 14 1 2" long plus 1 1 2" hook.
