Dennstaedtia punctilobula Sohuksan Stokesia Weeks laterDennstaedtia 'Sohuksan' is a 2012 Plant Delights JLBG introduction of an amazing groundcover fern we fell in love with when we first saw it at the US National Arboretum (USNA 56547) in front of the Asian Valley exhibit. Dennstaedtia hirsuta, which is home from Siberia south to Taiwan, is much slower to spread than our native hay scented fern and consequently makes a fantastic deciduous, deer resistant groundcover (4' wide in 5 years) in the garden.
