Trillium erectum Aristolochia 'Golden Gate' makes a 52"The stunning Trillium erectum occurs in rich, moist woodlands from Canada south to Georgia. Trillium erectum emerges in mid April (NC), forming a 6" tall stalk, topped with three green leaves. Soon after the leaves unfurl, the bright red, quarter sized flowers pop up from under the leaf to stand perched atop the green foliage. In time, Trillium erectum makes a stunning large clump in the woodland garden.
