Sail Boats Reflection: Vintage Oil on Board kitchen decor and accessories The term “creepie” comes from
Yard notes & kiln story
Description
The term “creepie” comes from the word for a milking stool used in the Orkney Islands of Scotland and was designed to keep the sitter close to the ground
The exterior of the box is finished with a scumble paint technique and there are a few small chips in areas
The folding design meant they could be brought out when entertaining guests and then folded away flat when not in use
is a combination of the two names
Each panel is 26cm wide
Sail Boats Reflection: Vintage Oil on Board kitchen decor and accessories The term “creepie” comes fromThis is a stunning oil painting on board, circa 1940s of sail boats on a lake with a glorious reflection on the water. The hues are so gentle, the brushstrokes a dream. I love the perspective and composition with the view of the beautiful building in the background. It also has a wonderful original wood frame. There is a little section on the right where the painting has come away from the frame. See images please. It is not signed. Dimensions 43cm x
