This vigorously multiplying hybrid (possibly Crinum 'JC Harvey' x Crinum scabrum) was hybridized in Florida during the 1920s by Louis Bosanquet and named after his wife

The result is an extremely vigorous

but it should remain evergreen in warmer climates

the stalks emerge upward in late spring

Hedychium Dr Moy 5a The peak time to doHedychium 'Dr. Moy' is one of the best known ornamental plant hybrids from the late plant breeder Dr. Moy of the San Antonio Botanical Garden. The 4' tall stalks of this Hedychium flavum x coccineum hybrid are clothed with 1' long leaves, each heavily speckled with white paint like dots. In September, clumps of Hedychium 'Dr. Moy' are topped with fragrant, peachy orange flowers with a darker orange throat exquisite!
