The reverse bears the inscription “TERRITORIAL WAR MEDAL” and the dates 1914–19 within a laurel wreath surmounted by a crown

The reverse depicts the bow of a vessel within a laurel wreath and bears the inscription “FOR WAR SERVICE MERCANTILE MARINE 1914–1918”

Queens Volunteer Reserve Medal Campaign_Northern Ireland regulations and conventionsThe Queens Volunteer Reserve Medal was established in 1999 this is awarded to men and women of the reserve services for outstanding service that previously would have been rewarded with one of the grades of The Order of The British Empire. Recipients are entitled to use the post nominal QVRM.
