Agave titanota Solar Eclipse Hesperaloe highlighted by prominent maroon blotches(aka: Agave titanota 'Mediopicta Aurea') Agave 'Solar Eclipse' is our new name for the invalidly named Agave titanota 'Mediopicta Aurea'. From limestone cliffs in Oaxaca, this fascinating sport of the Mexican century plant Agave titanota boasts giant, papery toothed, thick green leaves typical of the species. In spring when the new leaves emerge and during cool parts of the year, each leaf also sports a wide creamy gold central stripe.
