There is some discoloration, scratches and rust in parts, but nothing to detract from the beauty of the plate. It also has a small hole with wire at the top so that it can be hung as wall decor. It has a makers mark on the back "Moseley Ware" which appear to have been manufacturers in the 19th century of chromium plated ware
