- should only be used on tubed tires - remove the valve from the inner tube in order to completely deflate the tire - debead the tire from the wheel - slip the whitewall insert between the wheel and tire - refit the valve and inflate the tire allowing the insert to become trapped between the wheel and tire - glue is not necessary however they can be glued - without glue the insert will whip and cause tire wear where the outer part of the insert rubs on the tire sidewall
