The neck is fully carved with a feather pattern. There are fifteen deeply carved feathers encircling the neck of the jar. Around the body of the piece is an Avanyu (water serpent). The piece has a glossy burnished surface and matte in the reliefs. It is signed on the bottom in the ceramic, 'Stella Chavarria Punta Clara'. The piece was crafted
