Its fossils have been found in the Ifezouane and Aoufous Formations that crops out in the south east of Morocco. These beds date from the times of the Albian to the Cenomanian in the Upper Cretaceous. It was initially assigned to the family Trematochampsidae. Diagnostic features of the genus include its mediolaterally compressed teeth with serrated edges. He had a high snout slightly heterodont teeth
