S437 - Nicely Preserved "Diplomystus dentatus" Fossil Fish - Eocene Age from USA Onchopristis Bones Some areas are more alteredBeautiful and nicely preserved Diplomystus dentatus fossil fish from the Green River Formation of Wyoming (Eocene Age). Complete example of these fossil herring fishes. The specimen its wonderfully detailed with skull bones, vertebrae, ribs and fins easily seen. The specimen its completely natural and have not undergone any restoration or preservation treatment. The level of detail is spectacular. It only has been lightly excavated around its outline
