The Royal Air Force Long Service Medal (EIIR) was issued in two versions
The General Service Medal with Lebanon Clasp was awarded for 30 days service between 7th February 1983 and 9th March 1984
the first versions of this medal had the dates 1899-1900 raised on the reverse
but not in active operations against an enemy
The Military and civilian awards are distinguished by a white stripe down the centre of the Military award
Distinguished Conduct Medal GVI Campaign The Royal Air Force LongAround 1900 awards of the DCM were made during World War Two with nine recipeints receiving a bar. As with the First World War, awards were made to foreign nationals and in the main these were issued un named, all awards to UK troops were awarded with impressed naming although some awards made for the Far East were engraved locally.
