Discovered growing on steep

Hosta Eagles Nest Zephyranthes but not fast enough toThis is certainly the most unique of the mutations of the famed Hosta 'Sum and Substance'. Hosta 'Eagles Nest' forms very thick, cupped green leaves, each surrounded by a wide golden border. From the "feel" of the foliage, smaller stature, and slower growth rate, I suspect this is a tetraploid. The smaller than normal, 3' wide clump is topped in late summer with 2' tall scapes of light lavender flowers. I think you are going to really like this one.
