Antique Georgian Guard Chain 18ct Gold Semi-Precious_Amethyst It's fitted with a sturdyA fabulous antique Georgian guard chain from the early 19th Century made up of 18ct gold cable links, each printed with a small, dotted pattern to give them a lovely sheen and texture. Its held by a tube shaped box clasp at the top also detailed with fine engraving with ornate cannetille flowers encircling it. Guard chains were at the height of popularity in the 18th & 19th Century. Both fashionable and practical, they were deliberately long enough to
