It is designed to pair with sash locks that have lugs, thanks to the notched cut outs machined into the body of the keeper. The base is graduated, tapering from 1 8" up to 1 4" front to back, which helps pull the sashes together tightly when the lock is engaged. The screw hole spacing is 2 1 16"
